Wonderful family dinner at La Colombina in Cannaregio. We started with the raw seafood platter — oysters, scampi, red prawns, sea bass carpaccio, marinated salmon, tuna tartare — everything impeccably fresh and beautifully presented, the kind of crudo that tastes of the Adriatic and nothing else. The spaghetti with pesto, tuna tartare, toasted almonds and passion fruit was the surprise of the evening: bright, balanced, not a gimmick. Pasta cooked perfectly al dente. Warm service, relaxed atmosphere away from the tourist crush, and a real sense that someone in the kitchen cares. we'll be back
We had a very fine time here! The owner was amazing and was excellent in recommending us his dishes. It’s no surprise when I say the service was superb! Food was impeccable, perfect presentation and reasonable portions, perfect for sharing! A must-stop if you’re looking for a nice place to eat at in Venice!
If you’re looking for an authentic Venetian dining experience away from the tourist traps, Enoteca La Colombina is an absolute gem. From the moment we arrived, it felt less like a restaurant and more like being welcomed into someone’s family home. The cozy dining room and charming outdoor seating create such a warm and relaxed atmosphere. The food was outstanding — truly authentic Venetian dishes made with obvious passion and pride. Every recommendation felt thoughtful, and the owners were incredibly friendly and attentive throughout the evening, always making sure we were well looked after without ever feeling overbearing. Their wine suggestions were fantastic and paired perfectly with the meal. What really stood out was the atmosphere. No tacky tourist vibes, just a place filled with locals, great conversation, and people who genuinely care about food and hospitality. On top of that, the prices were very fair for the quality and experience you receive. A must-visit if you’re in Venice. Places like this are becoming harder to find. And coming from Vancouver, Canada we will be going there again next year! Thanks so much for an amazing evening.
This restaurant deserves 5 stars in every category. Food is outstanding, fresh and very delicious. Their staff is extremely friendly, energetic and professional. The decoration is well organized as we were setting in the glass house. Special dishes on their board are highly recommended. We could not decide. So we ordered them all, extremely fantastic!! The crab spiders, ohhh so delicious and fresh! It can be crowded during peak hours as people know about this restaurant LOL I waited for only 10 mins, not that bad. I want to mention their waiters , he is so good. He was alone, but able to handle/ manage everything so well. Kudoes!!! I highly recommend Thank you Tani 🙏
