An absolute gem in Venice. Everything tasted incredibly fresh, from the perfectly cooked risotto to the delicious panna cotta. You can really tell they use high-quality, fresh ingredients, not frozen, bake and go products like so many tourist places. The wine selection was excellent and paired perfectly with the meal. The restaurant is tucked away in a beautiful little piazza, creating an authentic and relaxing atmosphere. Best of all, it doesn’t feel like a tourist trap at all, just genuine Venetian hospitality and fantastic food.
I absolutely loved the cuttlefish with black ink and polenta, a traditional Venetian dish that made me fall in love with its unique taste. The flavors were incredible, and I would definitely have it again. With a little extra salt and pepper, it becomes absolutely delicious!
We ate dinner here and I reccomend to reserve a table. The food was perfect. We had caprese, pasta and tiramisu and all of them were absolutely delicious! One of the best pasta dishes I ever had. The Service is excellent and very Kind and Caring. they have Vegetarian and Gluten free options. I could eat there everyday it was stunning!!!
A delicious find. La Lanterna was located in a small, quiet square. The outside tables were comfortable in the warm summer. The wait staff was amazing - attentive but not overbearing. We started with the mixed seafood and the octopus- no regrets, but there is a small octopus bite in the mixed plate. My boys enjoyed having that extra taste. We did the seafood risotto (perfect with shells, squid and shrimp), the liver and onions - perfectly prepared and the Sea Bass. Ended the meal with cage, panna cota & profiteroles and limoncello. A perfect last meal in Venice.
Best pasta ever of our trip in Italy. I even came here twice for their Spaghetti alle Vongole. Everything is perfect, the clams is fresh, elevating the dish. So tasty we make sure to finish it till last drop🤣. I highly recommend this place. Will definitely come back!
