Honestly, meals like this are the exact reason we are alive! The food made with fresh local ingredients was absolute perfection, and knowing they are so socially engaged makes you love the place even more. The wine was so good it felt life-changing, but the real star was our waiter: impeccably stylish, incredibly passionate, and spot-on with his recommendations. Give that man a raise immediately! Atmospheric spot hidden away on a peaceful square. Felt very authentic and not at all touristy - glad we sought it out! Lovely staff. We just ordered the pasta but it was superb - I had the duck ragu and it was so fresh, and the pasta definitely home made, beautifully cooked. I believe it is an Sardinian inspired menu, and we liked the bread. Delicious spritz too! Wouldn't hesitate to recommend.
My wife & I enjoyed a lovely meal here for our last night in Venice. The food, service and atmosphere were all excellent. The trattoria is located in a quiet square off the beaten path a bit. We appreciated the friendliness of the owner and the commitment to local products, their Sardinian wine and style of cooking.
I discovered this gem by accident 5 years ago, just 2 months before we were all brought to a standstill during lockdown. I’m so happy I managed to return and have another truly wonderful meal there last night. I was blown away by the flavours - each course matched perfectly with different wine thanks to the recommendation of the gentleman serving who seems enthused by his craft and was more than happy to discuss the flavours and produce. Top marks for table presentation, atmosphere and creating wonderful dishes using local produce. I can’t recommend this place highly enough. I will certainly return, hopefully in less than five years!
Wonderful seafood dinner! Warm welcoming service, delicious food and wine. A lovely evening out in Venice! Make sure to try the Cantina Gibadda Vermentino di Sardegna wine the owners make and the pickled vegetables for an antipasto. We will be back the next time we visit Venice for another special evening.
